" Come Home Papa" project powered by Mahindra Truck & Bus

Road Safety is a cause and concern at various levels, not only for urbans driving across busy roads to commute but also for whom driving itself is a livelihood. The truck drivers. They drive across highways, plains and mountains, sometimes all through the night. These truck drivers are often prone to maximum road accidents due to the sheer stress of their work.

Introducing the daughters of truck drivers writing compelling real life stories on emotional and functional issues faced by the families when truck drivers are on the road. The stories will highlight how “road safety” drives the dreams and aspirations of an entire family, the learning and planning ahead for the daughters, the attitude lifestyle upbringing and approach of daughters shaped under the backdrop of problems that truck drivers often face while driving on highways, and the insecurities that the families often battle with.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Truck and Bus Division has taken special care of their truck drivers at various levels, one of them being sharing the concern of their families, helping out….. is a literary movement, which hosts short stories written by people across age, communities, cultures and geographies. The best story as judged by the Juries will receive a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/-. Two runners up will be given a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- each.

All stories will be published on along with the photograph of the author and her truck driver father.

Selected stories, as judged by the Juries will be compiled into a book.

The winners will be felicitated on stage at the Mahindra Transport Excellence Awards function in New Delhi in early 2018.
